To clean your showerhead, put one cup of vinegar in a plastic bag and place it over the shower head. Use a twist tie to hold it in place and let the vinegar stand overnight. Remove the bag first thing in the morning, and use a damp cloth to wipe off mineral deposits, which would have been loosened by that time.

Check the Toilet for Leaks

The easiest way to check if there is a leak in your toilet tank is to put a few drops of food coloring into it. Before doing this, make sure that the water line is below the top of the overflow tube. Leave it for a few minutes and come back to check if the water in the bowl has changed color. If it has, that means the ball or flapper is leak and must be fixed or replaced.

Clean the Aerator

Just like the holes in your showerheads, aerators are prone to sediment build-up. To unblock the holes of the aerator, you will need to clean it. To do that, you will have to unscrew the aerator from the faucet, take it apart and remove sediment using a small brush dipped in vinegar.

Let Hot Water Flow Down the Drain

This is perhaps one of the easiest bathroom plumbing maintenance tasks you can ever do. Once a week, let hot water run down the drain to clear the drain pipes of any greasy buildup that could eventually cause a clog in the future.
